The Silent Auction takes the form of an exhibition of work by students currently studying on the MFA. Next to each work is a bidding sheet on which the competition for each work unfolds. The reserve for everything in the Silent Auction is £25, and over the course of two hours (6pm – 8pm), prospective buyers outbid each other by increments of at least £5.
Every visitor to the MFA auction is given a unique bidding number, so all entries on the bidding sheet are anonymous. If you cannot make it on 3 December, it is possible to have someone bid on your behalf. Email absentee.bidding@gmail.com to arrange this.
